Immunizations
Immunizations offer a key component of preventing infectious diseases throughout the community. August is a great time to make sure children are up-to-date on their vaccines since California law requires that children entering kindergarten and 7th grade provide proof of immunizations or a completed exemption from. Take note that there is a new form in 2014 that must be completed for personal belief exemptions. Adults need vaccines too, so make sure to check with your doctor to see what you may need. More information on vaccines can be found at your doctor’s office, local health clinic, or Mendocino County Public Health Community Health Services (707-472-2600).
