'Opportunity Index' Highlights Factors Affecting Health in Mendocino County
A new tool provides a snapshot of the economic opportunity and mobility available to residents of every U.S. state and nearly 2,500 U.S. counties, including Mendocino County. Opportunity Index scores are based on the quality and quantity of employment, health care availability, graduation rates, and community and civic engagement―all factors that can affect personal and community health. Released by Opportunity Nation and Measure of America, the Index also provides data on 14 indicators in 3 topic areas, plus composite scores in these areas and state and national comparisons.
